One of the ways to set kids up for success is through
Assistive Technology. Simply put, AT is any tool or devices used by people with disabilities that help them do a task easier. I like to call
them Adaptive Tools for Living. Here’s the official, federal
definition of Assistive Technology:
Assistive technology means any item, piece of equipment or
product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or
customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional
capabilities of children with disabilities.
